Based out of the University of Otago Oval in Dunedin, home of the Otago Volts (men) and the Otago Sparks (women), Otago Cricket is an organisation responsible for overseeing and developing cricket across the lower half of New Zealand’s South Island.

This region includes Dunedin, Southland, Otago Country, and North Otago, making it one of the country’s key cricketing hubs.

Competing in New Zealand’s top domestic competitions such as the Plunket Shield, The Ford Trophy, the Super Smash, and the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield, Otago Cricket is heavily invested in community and player development.

Through their work in schools, support of local clubs, coaching and age-group programmes, they provide clear pathways for young athletes looking to progress through the ranks.
