Build A Mini House Competition 2026

Thanks to Harcourts Marlborough, this year’s Build A Mini House competition is bigger than ever, with entries open to students right through to Year 13.

Whether your child loves building, designing, painting, crafting, or simply getting creative, this is the perfect chance to get involved.

Key Dates for 2026

• Entries Open: Saturday 4 July

• Entries Close: Friday 24 July at 4:00pm

• Public Viewing & Community Voting:Monday 27 – Friday 31 JulyLocation: Rangitāne House (next to Harcourts Marlborough)

• Winners Announced: Monday 3 August

• Entries Collected By: Friday 7 August

Prize Categories for 2026

• Years 0–4 Winner: $100 Prezzie Card

• Years 5–8 Winner: $100 Prezzie Card

• Years 9–13 Winner: $100 Prezzie Card

Plus:The entry receiving the most public votes overall will win a $500 donation for their school, courtesy of Harcourts Marlborough.

Public Voting

Every entry will be displayed at Rangitāne House from 27–31 July, where the community can:

• View all creations

• Vote for their favourites

Online voting will also be available once it opens.Simply click the online voting link HERE on the Harcourts Marlborough website when it goes live.

Important Reminder

All entries must be submitted to: Harcourts Marlborough1 Scott Street, Blenheim

Deadline: Friday 24 July at 4:00pm

Late entries may miss judging and public voting, so make sure you leave plenty of time to complete and deliver your mini house.
