It all started when a sparky opened the socket and found the funniest note inside 😂
The yarn started with a video sent to the show: a family had moved into a home and called a sparky to check a dodgy socket. Once the faceplate came off, there were no wires behind it. Just a piece of card with that brutal little note.
“Unlucky uso.”
From there, the chat turned into a full whānau roll-call of the little things listeners reckon give away a visit from a Samoan. Think sturdy, “Samoan approved” dining chairs, extra cars packed outside, a Bluetooth speaker connected to somebody else’s phone, or a marquee that stays up so long it becomes another room.
There were plenty of respectful ones too. One text said, “The leftovers have been eaten, but the dishes have been done.” That’s solid house-guest behaviour right there.
The crew also swapped stories about kava bowls, kids hiding remotes, and market snacks, keeping the banter warm, loud and very familiar to anyone whose whānau functions take over the whole driveway.
