Dalwyn from House of Travel answers a few questions
Si thought the UK trip was one big flight. Dalwyn from House of Travel gently set him straight.
The Breakfast Club is heading to London, with House of Travel taking care of the details, and Si had one very important travel question: how exactly do they get there?
The answer is a fair bit of travel time. Dalwyn explained it is around 30 hours from New Zealand to London, including a six-hour layover.
The team will take two flights: roughly nine hours to Singapore, followed by around 14 hours from Singapore to London. “It does take some planning,” Dalwyn said.
Thankfully, the Singapore stop does not sound too shabby. Changi Airport has an outdoor pool, while the nearby Jewel Changi complex features thousands of trees and a 40-metre indoor waterfall.
Si was immediately keen to turn the layover into an adventure, asking if he could have a swim, then floating the idea of diving off the waterfall. Lana had a simpler suggestion: “We’ve gotta do a manu.”
Once in London, the pair will stay at The Royal Horseguards Hotel, overlooking the Thames and a quick walk from Trafalgar Square. It is also close to Buckingham Palace, which may be handy if Si is still determined to meet some horses.
