“Have you seen Grant?” That was the question circling above Mount Smart on Saturday, and it had plenty of people doing a double take.

A small banner plane flew overhead carrying the mysterious message, looping around with absolutely no context. No last name. No explanation. Just Grant.

Then came the big theories. Was it a grand romantic gesture? A very expensive in-joke? Or was someone genuinely trying to track down a Grant who had gone missing?

The crew was quick to point out they had no idea what the banner was about, but that did not stop the speculation. One suggestion was that a missing-person appeal would probably include a photo and more details. Another was that the mystery man might have somehow become the unlikely reason for the Warriors’ loss.
