We are fully spiraling this Friday! Ash was brought to tears by wahine power at Disney on Ice, while Yas almost started a full-blown war with a five-year-old over a $25 Buzz Lightyear cup. Plus, Harrison got completely gaslit at an apartment viewing—wait until you hear what they actually showed him!
It is officially Friday and the energy in the studio is completely unhinged. We kicked off the day desperately trying to organize a massive Mexican fiesta feast because stress levels have been through the roof. Ash confessed to going through a proper anxiety spiral lately, complete with losing her appetite and hair falling out in clumps. But thankfully, a little good news came through just in time to bring her hunger back with a vengeance!
Speaking of pure chaos, we had the absolute best time taking the kids to Disney on Ice. Ash was moved to actual tears by the sheer wahine power during the Moana segment, but the real drama happened off the ice. Yas managed to buy a $25 light-up Buzz Lightyear cup and was genuinely plotting an escape route just to avoid sharing it with Ash’s five-year-old son, Buddy. Meanwhile, Harrison blew $25 on a glorified paper bag of popcorn, only to end up making a DIY Maui hook out of clay at home when Buddy woke up demanding a full loincloth costume.
To top off a wild 24 hours, Harrison gave us the full breakdown on his absolute nightmare of a house hunt. After applying for a gorgeous, New York-style industrial apartment, the real estate agent took him to the viewing only to show him a tiny, dark cube instead because the original place had already been taken down. We ended the week sending all our positive energy his way, while unearthing a mystery op-shop CD featuring Kiwi pop icon Jaimee McDowall to play us out into the weekend!
