Ash is still on holiday, but we somehow hit the absolute peak of our careers today when literal Shrek commented on our Instagram video! Plus, Harrison completely ruined one of my favourite TV shows with a massive spoiler, and his dad sent a very suspicious package straight to the studio.
With Ash still away on her massive holiday, we had a pretty wild time holding down the fort in the studio today. Things kicked off with Harrison fresh off opening night for his new theatre show, Sharp Teeth, at the Q Theatre in Auckland. Naturally, that spiralled straight into a discussion about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders docuseries, a wild story about a DJ at a Te Awamutu rugby game, and a terrible attempt at the Thunderstruck split-and-kick dance routine in front of family.
Unfortunately, the mood took a sudden turn when a massive show spoiler was dropped, completely ruining one of my absolute favourite TV series. But just as the bitterness was setting in, we got the ultimate news. After running our "Best Ever" series on Instagram, actual Shrek liked and commented on our movie soundtrack video. With over a million followers, having an ogre validate our music taste is officially the highest peak this show will ever reach.
To wrap up the madness, a package arrived at the studio addressed to "Harrison 'Hard Man' Keefe" from a place called "Uncle Barry’s Pleasure Palace." After a brief moment of genuine panic over what inappropriate item might be inside, it turned out to be a classic prank pulled by Harrison's dad, who just wanted to safely return a missing key card hidden inside a massive tube of hand sanitiser.
