We are officially running late, slightly chaotic, and heavily fueled by festival catering leftover vibes. Today we are diving into the complete delusion of Drake dropping three whole albums at once, featuring a new instructional dance song that has us completely divided and questioning the production value. Plus, our Key Change video has gone completely viral with millions of views, and you will not believe the random verified celebrities who are hanging out in our comment section right now—including Santa Claus himself. We’re The Ash London Show, a NZ music radio show on The Edge from 3–7pm weekdays! This is our pre-show podcast, where we get a little bit cheeky ;) See more from The Ash London Show at @theashlondonshow and @theedgenz Find your next favourite show and see more behind-the-scenes content on rova’s Instagram @rova.nz Hosts: Ash London, Harrison Keefe, & Yas Coe Executive Producer: Samantha Harding Producer: Nepia Ruwhiu
The team is back together and recovering from an epic weekend at the Once In a Lifetime festival, though some of us spent more time inhaling prosciutto and catering donuts than actually prepping for showtime. Ash found herself completely abandoned by Harrison and the producers, left knee-deep in a charcuterie board right as major clients walked up to say hello. It was an incredibly awkward representation of our exact vibe, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Once we got past the weekend debrief, we had to unpack the absolute madness of Drake dropping three albums over the weekend. With sixty tracks to get through, we put his new version of the "Cha Cha Slide" to the test. It features some very strange instructional dance moves involving two pumps on the booty, leaving the room entirely split on whether it’s a brilliant new club bop or just a horribly produced track made on a Windows 98 PC.
To wrap things up, we are celebrating a massive win because our Key Change video went totally viral over the weekend, pulling in millions of views across TikTok and Instagram. The verified comment section is an absolute fever dream right now. We have award-winning producers, the actual creator of Phineas and Ferb debating the best musical key changes, and a literal verified Santa Claus account with half a million followers checking in on us. We might just have to recruit them all for our own upcoming instructional dance album.
