We’re back from Homegrown and Harrison has a brand-new face that’s genuinely terrifying us. Between green room puzzles with Drax Project and that "one ball" comment from Verity that left us speechless, it was a massive weekend. Plus, Ash takes on a taxi driver in a $40 standoff. It’s a bumpy Monday ride!
Kiara! We are officially back in the studio after a massive weekend MCing the Fusion Stage at Homegrown, and let’s just say the vibes are high but the energy is "just eaten a kebab" low. Between the beautiful Wellington weather and the insane amount of Kiwi talent on display, it was a total dream—even if Harrison did decide to walk in with a completely shaved face that nearly sent Producer Sam over the edge.
The highlight has to be the backstage antics in the artist green room. Imagine sitting down to do a puzzle with Sean from Drax Project or having a deep chat about Christian bangers with the Coterie boys. We even got a sneak peek at some exclusive music that had us on the verge of tears. But the real kicker? Verity running up to Harrison side-stage and roasting him about his "one ball" right in front of everyone. Absolute legend behavior.
It wasn't all glamorous, though. Ash had a full-blown standoff with a taxi driver over some classic festival price-gouging (is $40 for a four-minute ride illegal? Discuss.), and we may or may not have walked out of the artist area with literal towers of buffet food. From Savage making the entire crowd rip their shirts off to Harrison’s acting-gig mustache sacrifice, we’re unpacking every messy, heartfelt, and absurd moment.
