This years show is: Quest for the Christmas star ✨
This is the 20th Queenstown Christmas Show. It started in 2007 and has been a highlight of Christmas in the Wakatipu ever since. This year’s show celebrates the people, traditions and memories from two decades of shows.

CHRISTMAS SHOW 2026
The Christmas Star has disappeared from the top of the tree. Five young adventurers follow a trail of clues to find it, travelling all over the Wakatipu Basin and meeting some very interesting characters along the way. A magical adventure for all ages about what truly makes Christmas special.
There’ll be plenty of local fun, with singing, dancing, aerialists, gymnasts and the much-loved Remarkables Men’s Ballet. Santa makes a special appearance. It’s a family show starring local kids and performers, with a finale celebrating 20 years of Christmas Shows.
In the spirit of Christmas, ticket buyers can contribute to the Salvation Army's gift grotto and help families across our community this Christmas.
