The Rotorua Walking Festival is back for 2026, displaying the best of Rotorua’s bush and garden tracks, all whilst bringing the community together.

The festival returns to Rotorua on the 21st and 22nd of March.

  • Day One: Walk in the majestic Whakarewarewa Forest with distances of 10km, 21km and the 42km marathon walk.

  • Day Two: See Rotorua’s unique parks and urban environment. Walking past cafés, through the lakefront and around the Government Gardens with distances of 10km, 20km, 30km and the new 42km.

This is a great event bringing together the Rotorua community and taking in the beautiful views of the natural and urban environment, all while keeping healthy through physical activity.
