After nearly a quarter of a century of iconic New Year's celebrations, New Zealand's premier summer festival is preparing for its ultimate chapter in Gisborne. Rhythm and Vines 2026 will mark the final edition held at Waiohika Estate before the festival relocates to a new venue in 2027.

Presales begin in early August, with three-day festival passes starting from $359 and four-day camping packages from $489.
First held in 2003, Rhythm and Vines has become an essential rite of passage for generations of music lovers across New Zealand. Over the past 24 years, hundreds of thousands of festivalgoers have made the annual trip to Gisborne to welcome the first sunrise of the new year together.
The 2026 festival promises to give the historic venue the memorable send-off it deserves. While this summer signals the end of an era at Waiohika Estate, organisers have confirmed that Rhythm and Vines will continue its long-term future at a new location from 2027 onwards.
