Lakes Festival returns for its massive sixth edition, locking in an absolute masterclass of global pioneers and homegrown heavyweights. Get ready for 10 hours of pure festival energy across three custom-designed stages in the heart of the city.

Headlining this stellar first drop is none other than global house music icon Armand Van Helden, making his highly anticipated, first-ever performance in the South Island. Joining him are Australian techno exports X CLUB. and UK garage rising star Oppidan, bringing their signature high-octane rhythms to the park.
The drum and bass contingent is fully loaded with UK maestro Break returning to deliver a clinical mixing masterclass. Joining him is one of the UK's fastest rising female talents, Lens. Flying the flag for New Zealand, ROVA returns home to keep the energy at full throttle throughout the day.
Across three stages, Lakes Festival will showcase a stacked selection of quality talent, including leading Australian house act Dean Turnley, the Queen of Aotearoa Hip-Hop and Soul Ladi6, and New Zealand favourites Sin & Brook, who return with another bouncy, high energy mainstage set.
Following an incredible debut in 2025, Racket Club returns to the tennis courts with another curated showcase of underground electronic music. Featuring stage takeovers from Ōtautahi collectives Eurofreq, Hang The Saints and Haven, the stage celebrates the depth and diversity of Christchurch's thriving local scene.
