Cancer affects thousands of New Zealanders and their families every year, and this Daffodil Day, Canterbury’s Breeze is proud to stand alongside the Cancer Society to help make a difference.

Daffodil Day 2026 is our country’s chance to work together, raise money for cancer care, advocacy and research – and most importantly, change the experience of cancer for every New Zealander who is diagnosed.

Listen to 94.5 Canterbury’s Breeze to hear interviews from notable organisers and ambassadors that help highlight the importance of Daffodil Day and their initiatives across the region.

Daffodil Day is set to become a whole lot cooler this year, with the launch of the NZ Daffy Dip: a new fundraising challenge inviting people across Aotearoa New Zealand to take a cold-water plunge in support of the 1 in 3 New Zealanders who will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.

To see more about Daffodil Day 2026, their initiatives, and how you can support the Cancer Society, visit Cancer Society New Zealand.

Together with Canterbury’s Breeze, let’s brighten lives and support the Cancer Society this Daffodil Day.
