Al Jardine storms New Zealand for a celebration of The Beach Boys

Founding Beach Boys member Al Jardine is bringing the sun-soaked harmonies of California to New Zealand shores in 2026. Joined by the 11-piece Pet Sounds Band, Jardine will deliver a masterclass in pop history, celebrating over six decades of music in a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Brian Wilson.

The tour kicks off with a special American Independence Day celebration in Christchurch on July 4th, followed by a performance at the Dunedin Town Hall. Audiences can expect a setlist packed with timeless favourites like 'California Girls', 'Help Me Rhonda', and 'Wouldn’t It Be Nice', alongside rare gems and tracks from the legendary unreleased masterpiece, SMiLE.

Featuring Al’s son, Matt Jardine, on vocals, the performance captures the unmistakable spirit of "America’s Band." As a 1988 Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Al Jardine remains a cornerstone of the surf-rock sound. This tour follows the recent re-release of his studio album, A Postcard from California, and his 2025 EP, Islands In The Sun, featuring collaborations with Neil Young and Flea.
