To use rova with AirPlay:
Connect to AirPlay – Open the rova app and tap the AirPlay icon on the right of the ‘playbar’ at the bottom of the screen.
Select Your Device – Choose your AirPlay-enabled speaker, Apple TV, or HomePod from the list.
Play rova – Pick a station, podcast or playlist, and start playing on your selected device.
To use the rova skill with Alexa-enabled devices:
Enable the Skill – Say, "Alexa, enable rova."
Open rova – Say, "Alexa, open rova."
Play a Station, Podcast or Playlist – Say, "Alexa, ask rova to play [station/podcast name]."
If you have Apple Carplay or Android Auto, connect your device as required (cable or Bluetooth), and the relevant experience should start automatically.
If connecting via Bluetooth:
Ensure your Bluetooth is enabled in your device settings
Select the ‘cast’ button in the playbar
Select your vehicle from the list of devices. If you don’t see your vehicle, you may need to put it into ‘pairing’ mode from the Car dashboard.

To use the rova with Chromecast:
Connect to Chromecast – Open the rova app and tap the Cast icon on the right of the ‘playbar’ at the bottom of the screen.
Select Your Device – Choose your Chromecast-enabled device from the list.
Play rova – Pick a station or podcast, and it will start playing on your TV or speaker.
To play your favourite rova stations or podcasts with Google Assistant or Google Home devices:
Ask Google to play the station on TuneIn – for example say "Hey Google, play More FM Auckland on TuneIn." or "Hey Google, play The Rock on TuneIn."
Ask Google to play the podcast – for example say "Hey Google, play Better Me Hopefully” or “Hey Google, play the DSPN”
Control Playback – Use commands like "Pause," "Resume," or "Stop" to control your audio.
Unfortunately rova playlists are not available on Google Assistant, but you can still ‘cast’ them from the rova app to your Google Home device using ‘Chromecast’. Check out the instructions for Chromecast for more.
To use rova with Siri on your iPhone:
Set Up Siri Shortcut – In the rova app, go to Settings > Siri Shortcuts, then add a command like "Play rova."
Use Siri to Play – Say, "Hey Siri, play rova." or "Hey Siri, play [station/podcast] on rova."
Enjoy Hands-Free Listening – Siri will open rova and start playing your chosen audio.
To use rova with Sonos:
Add rova to Sonos – In the Sonos app, go to Your services > Manage> Add content service>, search for rova and follow the setup.
Play rova on Sonos – Open the Sonos app, find rova under ‘Your Services’, and choose a station or podcast to play.
