Holidaymakers with deep pockets can now charter or own a superyacht designed and owned by fashion legend Stefano Gabbana.
Regina D'Italia, the 65-metre yacht owned by Stefano Gabbana, has entered the charter market for the first time, with weekly rates starting at €480,000 (£410,000). The vessel, whose name translates as Queen of Italy, was also offered for sale last year at the Monaco Yacht Show, with an asking price of €54 million (£47 million).
Built by Italian shipyard Codecasa and delivered in 2019, Regina D'Italia is based on the yard's 65-metre platform, featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
While Codecasa was responsible for the exterior design and naval architecture, the interiors were created by Milan-based studio M2 Atelier, working closely with Gabbana himself.
After years of confidential development, the yacht is now being publicly showcased in full.
The interiors are deliberately dramatic, reflecting the bold aesthetic that has defined Gabbana's career since he co-founded Dolce & Gabbana in 1985. Rich blue tones are paired with pale oak and teak, while Brazilian marble is used extensively throughout the yacht. The colour scheme deepens as the decks rise, moving from lighter blues on the lower deck to darker shades above.
The main salon features mirrored ceilings and blue silk wall panels, while the dining area centres on a table by Italian design house Fornasetti, surrounded by high-backed leopard-print chairs. Also on the main deck is the full-beam owner's suite, which includes floor-to-ceiling windows, mirrored ceilings, two marble bathrooms and large walk-in wardrobes lined with silk, velvet and astrakhan.
Guest accommodation comprises four cabins on the lower deck-two twin and two double-each with an en-suite bathroom finished with marble and mirrored ceilings. Bronze taps shaped like Italian hand gestures appear throughout the bathrooms and staircases. An additional cabin on the bridge deck can be used for guests, crew or converted into a massage room.
The upper deck houses a gym, a 7-metre swimming pool finished in marble mosaic, and a sunbathing area with eight loungers. At night, the space transforms into an open-air lounge. A beach club and fixed aft platform provide direct access to the sea.
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the 1,300-gross-tonne yacht can reach a top speed of 18.5 knots and has a range of 4,300 nautical miles. During its first charter season, Regina D'Italia will cruise along the Italian coastline and surrounding islands.
The yacht is being marketed for sale and charter by brokerage firm Ocean Independence, which described the vessel as a "rare and refined" addition to the Mediterranean charter market.
The move gives potential buyers the opportunity to experience the yacht before committing to a purchase.
