As the 2024 Olympians settle in at their accommodation in Paris, teams are beginning to discover the unique cultures of each other's countries.
Matilda 'Tilly' Kearns, one of Australia's water poloists, shared the "beautiful" moment she captured Fiji's Olympians singing a hymn that echoed throughout the village.
"What the Olympics are all about, so special," Tilly wrote on Instagram. "Best seat in the house next to the Fijians 🇫🇯 all the different cultures here will never get old."
The video shows the incredible harmonies of the team singing in the village.
One commenter explained: "It's a ritual for Fijians to have devotion and sing hymns in the morning whenever we're at camps, especially during sporting."
"So wholesome, the chorus of the hymn their signing translates to "Jesus is calling, you are invited / (come along)," added another.
Other Olympians joined Tilly and her teammate on their balconies to soak up the song.
They weren't the only ones impressed by the Fijians' vocals, with one commenter writing: "I literally welled up listening to this."
Another added: "Islanders try not to be wholesome challenge: impossible."
"Pacifica to the World!🌺💙," said a third.
While a fourth added: "The best part of the games 🫶🏾."
It's beautiful to see countries from all corners of the world supporting and celebrating each other's cultures.
