NZ chocolate giants Whittaker's have just let us know that they are adding a scrumptious new flavour called Blondie and Biscuit to their range and I already know I'm gonna stock up on this one.
Blondie and Biscuit blocks will be made from Whittaker's authentic caramelised Blondie chocolate with dark, crunchy, homestyle biscuit pieces - sounds like a match made in chocolatey heaven!
Whittakers have been friggin busy lately; last week they made a limited ED-ition block inspired by Ed Sheeran, who suggested they donate some of the limited blocks for a fundraiser towards Auckland's flood recovery.
Megan Sinclair, the product development manager for Whittaker's, said that the new creation is extremely morish and I have no doubts about that.
"By adding generous amounts of dark cocoa biscuit pieces, we think this will appeal not only to lovers of Whittaker's Blondie chocolate but anyone who wants a sweet treat with their cup of tea or coffee. It's a great way to enjoy the crispy, buttery taste of home baking without the tidy up!" she said.
Megan also said that the chocolate isn't made with caramel flavouring so how do they get that perfect blondie flavour?
She revealed: "Whittaker's Blondie chocolate is crafted by heating the ingredients to the perfect high temperature for a precise amount of time, creating an authentic caramelisation that doesn't require added caramel flavours or colourings."
They're bloody talented, aren't they?!
The chocolate company say that Blondie and Biscuit is a "limited edition" addition to their range and will only be available while stocks last, so we better make the most of it while we can.
Blondie and Biscuit will be available in stores up and down the country from Monday the 20th of February.
