We've all guilty of endlessly scrolling through Netflix looking for somthnig to watch. To make the decision easier, Netflix introduced the percentages you've no doubt seen as you hover over the movie or show title. But what does it actually mean?
The rating is created by an algorithm, which based off everything else you've been watching, figures out what else you'd be keen to binge-watch. "The percentage next to a title shows how close we think the match is for your specific profile." says Netflix on their website.
So maybe we should start hitting the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons to help that algorithm find some Netflix gems for us.
"To get better suggestions for TV shows and movies you might like, you can rate what you've watched with a thumbs up or thumbs down."
