If your idea of backing the Wahs didn’t already involve stuffing your belly, your game day plans might just have gotten whole lot better.
Wendy’s and the One New Zealand Warriors have just launched a new menu - Feed the Faith.
There are six new BBQ-flavoured items to devour, but two have left us absolutely frothing. We’re talking about ‘Sweet & Smoky’ BBQ loaded fries and the quintessentially Kiwi hokey pokey frosty.
Think thick-cut, sea-salted fries loaded with warm, creamy cheese and the new signature ‘Sweet & Smoky’ sauces.
The frosty has gotten a bit of an upgrade too, with the OG vanilla soft serve being combined with caramel swirls and topped with a crunchy honeycomb.
I already see myself grabbing a pre-game feed and a post-game treat.
The other four menu items include crispy crumbed onion rings, a sweet and smoky chicken, single beef and double beef burgers.
Available at Wendy’s NZ restaurants until August 10, the new range is all about fuelling fans and “feeding the faith”.
“Warriors fans are loud, proud, and unified. The Feed the Faith menu is a celebration of that community passion and spirit of the Warriors,” Richard Wallis, President of Wendy’s New Zealand, says.
“The range has been designed as the ultimate extension to Wendy’s almost two-decade-long partnership with the One NZ Warriors - igniting the excitement of game day.”
Cameron George, One NZ Warriors CEO, reckons these new burgers “are special, as they bring us all together to celebrate with the team".
So whether you’re in it for the footy or just after a taste of the new goodies, you’ll wanna get in quick, there’s plenty to munch on.
