We all scream for ice cream: Ben & Jerry's launch free Cookie Dough meal deals

Forget the soggy sandwich, Brits are in for a treat this month as a limited-edition ice cream meal deal launches across the UK.

Ben & Jerry's Scoop Vans are touring London, Birmingham and Manchester, handing out free lunchboxes to pep up the nation's midday break.

Like any classic meal deal, the offer includes a sandwich, crisps and a drink - but with a very sweet twist.

The "main course" is the new Cookie Dough Sandwich, featuring Ben & Jerry's iconic ice cream between two buttery cocoa and vanilla marbled cookies, followed by Cookie Dough crisps and a milkshake to wash it down.

The lunchbox has been released to celebrate the new Cookie Dough Sandwich, featuring a thick slab of chunky cookie dough ice cream nestled between two buttery marbled cookies, available in shops now.

Lucy McManus, brand manager at Ben & Jerry's, said, "We're all about bringing joy to even the most mundane of moments, and that includes the lunchtime slump.

"No more soggy cheese sandwiches ruining the break from your desk, we've created a meal deal you'll actually want to eat. We're sure cookie rookies and pros alike will fall in love with every bite."

The vans will visit:

London - Finsbury Avenue Square, Broadgate Circle: Wednesday May 20 and Thursday 21, 11:30am - 2pm

Birmingham - Victoria Square: Tuesday May 26, 11:30am - 2pm

Manchester - Spinningfields Square: Wednesday May 27, 11:30am - 2pm
