Watch: Tool’s The Pot lands at #5 in the Rock 2000

Released in 2006, ‘The Pot’ takes aim at hypocrisy, using the old “pot calling the kettle black” idea and wrapping it in Tool’s trademark mix of monstrous riffs, odd rhythms and Maynard James Keenan’s unmistakable vocals.

‘The Pot’ has appeared 14 times in the countdown, spending four straight years in the top 10 from 2018 to 2021. It also came painfully close to taking the crown, finishing #2 in both 2019 and 2020.

There’s a good chance some voters still reckon it should’ve been higher.
