As if Luca Harrington snagging bronze in slopestyle skiing wasn’t iconic enough, we’ve also got Snoop Dogg giving the New Zealand haka a full-blown shoutout.

Yep. That Snoop.

A video shared to the official Instagram page of the New Zealand Olympic and Commonwealth Games team shows the rap legend watching the haka and absolutely loving it.

As the haka is performed, Luca looks genuinely moved as it unfolds around him, soaking in the moment after that massive bronze win.

Snoop comments during the video, “ Look here. These, these guys greet you like this when you get off the plane in New Zealand, this is what awaits you when you arrive. This is beautiful tradition right there. I love it. Great energy,” Snoop says in the clip.

Honestly, hearing Snoop Dogg describe the haka as “beautiful tradition” with “great energy” is a proud moment right there.

And it’s not just him feeling it. The comments section has turned into a full-on Kiwi pride party.

“This is who we are when 1 wins we all win. Congrats Bro on your medal and nice showcasing the NZ culture to the world. 💚 💯,” one person wrote.

Another summed up the crossover we didn’t know we needed: “Snoop Doggy Dog and Luca… and the Haka! This is 💯! 🔥❤️”

Others were just as moved by the moment itself, especially seeing Luca’s reaction. “Seeing Luca so moved by the haka was beautiful.”

This isn't the first time Snoop Dog has shown appreciation for the haka. A video posted by Ruby Tui on TikTok in 2021 shows him giving love to the New Zealand Women's rugby team during a haka they performed ahead of their final game in Tokyo at the 2021 Summer Olympics.

There’s something pretty special about the haka. Whether it’s at the Olympics, on the slopes, or welcoming someone to Aotearoa, it carries mana. Watching Luca take it in after earning bronze, and seeing Snoop genuinely appreciate it, makes me proud to be from Aotearoa.

Bronze medal secured. Culture on show. The world watching.

Peak New Zealand energy. We love to see it.
