WATCH: Lindsey Buckingham sings for the first time since heart surgery

His vocal cords were damaged during the open-heart surgery last year.

Ex-Fleetwood Mac guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham has sung publicly for the very first time since his open-heart surgery early in 2019 which damaged his vocal chords.

The performance was done via Zoom for a computer software company called Nutanix. Buckingham played a four-song set in his home studio featuring Fleetwood Mac favourites like 'Never Going Back Again' and 'Big Love'. He also played his solo tracks - 'Trouble' and 'Shut Us Down'.

Watch his performance below.

Buckingham had previously announced a solo tour that was scheduled to kick off in Autumn this year but due to a certain pandemic that ruined most of live gigs, he was forced to postpone his tour plans.

This [coronavirus pandemic] has been like a couple of years previous in which things occurred that I did not see coming," he admitted during an interview. "One was my split from Fleetwood Mac. Another one was having a bypass operation, which I did not expect to happen. So, you could say that this makes it a trifecta of events that were completely off the charts.
