John Summit has accidentally leaked the full tracklist to his upcoming second album CTRL ESCAPE, all thanks to a chaotic (and very Summit-coded) Twitch live stream over the weekend.
The Chicago house heavyweight made his Twitch debut to listen to entries for his ‘Lights Go Out’ remix competition. And then… nature called.
During a quick bathroom break, Summit queued up a preview of an unreleased album cut titled ‘SHADOWS’. Except when he went digging for the track, he accidentally clicked straight into the album folder - revealing the full, previously unannounced CTRL ESCAPE tracklist on stream for everyone to see.
The tracklist revealed:
Shades of Blue DSP v1.
Sata shorter nye (1)
With Me V3.
John summit abby keen
JOHN SUMMIT - LIGHTS GO OUT CASS 2B
Mess With Me interlude version
Summit kilimanjaro time with you
John Summit x Feid v1
Shadows jan 13 check premaster
All the time dec 30 (1)
And if that wasn’t enough, SoundCloud autoplay decided to choose violence and rolled straight into the next unreleased track once ‘SHADOWS’ finished. Summit sprinted back and stopped it mid-intro, but by then the damage was already done.
Fans in the chat revealed he had leaked his own album's track list.
He responded: “Oh my god I did leak the album song names. Ah f**k.”
“This is my first and last Twitch stream. No one took a screenshot, right?”
Worth noting - these look like raw project file names, meaning a lot of the potential feature artists are still being kept under wraps.
Fans commented: “His first live stream too.”
Another said: “I love him so much for this very reason. Our authentic king.”
Adding a Kiwi cherry on top, Summit also played a remix of ‘Lights Go Out’ by New Zealand producer and DJ Emwa during the stream.
He replayed the pre-drop twice (always a good sign) before saying, “That was f*cking dope, definitely saving that one.”
He just announced last week that his second album would be released on April 15.
