A rare duet between Eric Clapton and Peter Frampton occurred during the first night of Clapton's famous Crossroads Guitar Festival in Texas.
The pair had never performed together before until last Friday night when they played a Beatles number, 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps', two songs in on Frampton's set.
Just before the show, Frampton said, "I'm just honoured that he contacted me and asked me to play. We've known each other for years, but this is a big moment for me."
Frampton played 'Georgia (On My Mind)' and 'Do You Feel like We Do' before addressing to the crowd, "This is something that's been a dream of mine for many, many years. decades. I can't believe it's going to happen right now, but I'm going to invite out a friend I've known a long time but never played together. Mister Eric Clapton!"
After the pair hugged on stage, Frampton teased the crowd, "You may know this one," before jumping straight into the intro of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
