Watch: Conor McGregor booed by Irish fans at Limp Bizkit’s Dublin gig

Dublin wasn’t having a bar of him.

Conor McGregor was met with audible boos by Limp Bizkit fans at their gig in Ireland recently.

The gig, which took place in McGregor’s hometown of Dublin, saw Limp Bizkit perform a 13-song-set earlier this week.

The divisive MMA fighter hyped up his potential appearance at the gig the day before, taking to Instagram to say: “Who’s going to @limpbizit in Ireland tomorrow? I’ll be bang in the centre of the moshpit if anyone’s looking for their jaw broke and their teeth sent.”

Fred Durst swiftly responded to the post, commenting: “Let’s have a go at a slow dance while we’re at it.”

During Limp Bizkit’s set, Durst name-dropped McGregor, telling the crowd, “It sounds like you’re in love with Conor McGregor here,” to which the crowd erupted with boos.

Durst then added, “I’ll be straight with ya, from what I heard, he’s actually out there right now."

Check out the moment below.

But was McGregor actually in the crowd? Some people claim to have saw him, but there’s no videos or photos to show proof that he actually was there.

Either way, it sounds like the crowd of Irish fans not only loved the gig, but also the camaraderie of collectively booing the fighter, who’s had a turbulent relationship with Irish fans in recent years (for good reason).

Taking to social media, one person wrote: “Fred mentioned him again a song or two later and he was booed again. One of the night's highlights, for me.”

While another wrote, “The boos were very loud in the arena. I can't imagine his ego would have enjoyed being mocked, booed and laughed at. Fred knew what he was doing.”

Speaking about McGregor’s social media post about being at the gig, one person wrote: “Didn't see him at all, I was second from the barrier. He would've made some commotion if he was there. More lies from the shitbag. Definitely not his crowd.”

Whether McGregor was actually in the crowd or just stirring the pot online, it’s clear that Dublin wasn’t having a bar of it.
