Who would've thought Dua Lipa would perform a duet with Chris Stapleton at the Academy of Country Music Awards?
The pop star made a surprising appearance at the country music show, which was held at the Ford Theater at the Star in Frisco, Texas on Thursday night.
The performance began with Dua Lipa singing Stapleton's 2023 track Think I'm in Love With You by herself before Chris walked onto the stage and joined her for a duet.
It all started when Stapleton called Lipa the "queen of feel-good music". In a Billboard interview, Lipa, who was already a massive fan of his music, reached out to Stapleton suggesting they should sing together. Within two days, the pair delivered the best duet we've witnessed in a while.
The 28-year-old told the outlet that it had been "absolutely incredible" spending a few days working with Chris and his band and "brainstorming ideas on how we can reimagine the song".
On keeping the duet a secret, she added, "I think we were all so in on making sure this stays a surprise, to make the moment even more special. I don't know how we did it (but) I'm glad we did it because it was really special when it happened tonight on stage. It's always fun like that."
Stapleton had a big night at the ACM Awards, taking home three awards - Artist-Songwriter of the Year, Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for Higher.
