Forget the viral fruit ice creams - burger desserts might be the new craze

They look just as unhinged as they sound.

Kiwis have been OBSESSING over the latest ice cream craze - those super aesthetic, fruit-shaped treats from China, like mango, peach, and strawberry flavours. You know the ones.

But move over fruity faves, because a new frozen trend has just dropped, and it’s way more unhinged.

Burger ice cream has hit the scene, and we're not sure how to feel about it.

Niceme, the brand behind the wild treat, are known for making desserts that “look like dinner, taste like dessert" - and they've nailed it with the look of this one.

Asian Down Under in Porirua is already stocking the burger, and honestly, it looks REAL. We’re talking full packaging, wrapped like a legit burger, complete with a bread bun, ice cream chicken and even a slice of cheese (it's actually mochi, but definitely gives the vibe).

The box tells you to microwave it for 4-8 seconds before eating, which is probably a fair call 'cause who's down to eat frozen bread?!

Naturally, TikTok comments are going off about the unusual dessert.

One person wrote: “These ice cream trends are getting out of handddd.”

“Aw, nah, I cant keep up 😂,” said another.

A third added: “Think these are just getting silly now. What's next, hot dog, pie, steak? 🤣”

And it’s funny they say that, because the same brand also offers ice cream disguised as… wait for it… chicken drumstick AND steak!

The drum stick even contains a cookie bone on the inside - it’s almost too creative.

So, will you be catching on to these as the new craze or is it too odd for your tastebuds to comprehend?!
