Victoria is no longer a secret to NZ with the first-ever store opening at Auckland Airport.

Today, Victoria’s Secret is open in the international terminal, so travellers can grab some last-minute lingerie or smellies before boarding.

The store is located after going through security, so we Kiwis looking to get our hands on a bombshell bra will need to book in some overseas travel before we can shop ‘till we drop.

A smaller concept store has previously been located at the Auckland Airport, but this latest opening means a much larger range of lingerie, sleepwear, fashion accessories, swimwear, beauty, fragrance and loads more top-selling items.

Though we’ll be crossing our fingers and toes that this is just the beginning of Victoria’s visit to Aotearoa.

Helly Ding, Vice President of Travel Retail at Victoria’s Secret, has given us hope, saying: “The Asia-Pacific region is an exciting area of growth for Victoria’s Secret, and this opening is a major milestone as we continue to expand our global footprint.”

“We are proud to open this new store today as part of our ambition to deliver a vibrant and contemporary airport experience for travellers at the country’s gateway,” Lucy Thomas, Head of Retail at Auckland Airport, added. “We think travellers will want to allow plenty of time to explore airside.”

“This is the first of many exciting new stores to come, with more brands to be announced throughout the year as part of a suite of changes across the duty-free and retail offering at AKL.”

So while the store is slightly out of reach for a regular shopping experience, it’s not half a world away like it used to be.

So if you’re travelling any time soon, you might want to make sure there’s suitcase space left over before you even leave the country!
