Confused Kiwis get an update after new Six60 merch misspells NZ

Kiwi clothing brand YouKnow Clothing has had a bit of a royal screw-up after dropping limited-edition merch with a spelling error ahead of and during the ‘Once in a Lifetime’ gig in Christchurch.
Headlining act Six60 joined forces with the clothing brand to create the collaboration ‘Just a Kiwi Band’.
The collab was meant to celebrate the huge Stadium opening music event, with the limited tees selling for around $60… but one missing detail has got people questioning how the brand missed it before they went on sale.
Bold writing at the bottom of the T-shirt reads: “One New Zeland Stadium” - missing the first letter A in our own country’s name.
“I thought YOU KNOW better to spell our country right with marketing it as a kiwi collab…” Christchurch review page @aroha4chch posted on Instagram.
“Omg, that's poor,” one commenter wrote under the post.
“Just checked my shirt I bought… Yup, it’s on all of them,” said another.
Self-proclaimed Six60 mega fan, Georgia Watt, confirmed to rova that she also ended up with the misprint.
“I was totally unaware of the mistake when I purchased the merch,” she said.
“It wasn’t until my mate sent me a social media post doing the rounds that I checked my own, and as soon as I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.”
“It was a massive event for the city, so I’m just confused how it was missed by the team before bulk printing them. It’s devastating, but if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry, eh?”
In response to the video, YouKnow Clothing has acknowledged the issue and says the team are working to fix it.
“Kia ora everyone, thank you to everyone who has reached out regarding the recent ‘Just a Kiwi band’ collaboration release with Six60. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused the incredible Six60 fans,” the brand wrote in the comments.
“We are currently contacting affected customers directly and will be rectifying the issue for our YK Family. We truly appreciate your understanding, patience and support, and we will sort this for you!"
I don’t think anyone will forget how to spell the name of our motu again anytime soon.
