The UFC is heading to the White House on June 14, and Dana White has just upped the ante with the biggest bonus in the promotion's history. To mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, the UFC Freedom 250 event will take place on the South Lawn of the White House.
This card is undoubtedly a controversial one, especially given Trump’s low presidential approval ratings. But while some are concerned about the politics of the event, the fighters are focusing on the massive bag being dangled in front of them.
The event is headlined by a lightweight title defence between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. Also, it includes Alex Pereira trying to become a three-weight champion against Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title.
But the real talk of the town is the cold, hard (digital) cash on the line.
Dana White confirmed that, on top of the usual Fight of the Night and Performance bonuses, there’s a further $1 million bonus pool up for grabs.
The record-breaking incentive is being put up by Crypto.com to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The $1 million (USD) will be paid out in CRO cryptocurrency, which currently sits at roughly 14.4 million CRO.
With seven absolute bangers on the card, including Sean O'Malley and Michael Chandler, the fighters are going to be fighting for their lives to get a slice of that pie.
UFC Freedom 250 Full Card:
Ilia Topuria vs Justin Gaethje
Alex Pereira vs Ciryl Gane
Sean O'Malley vs Aiemann Zahabi
Mauricio Ruffy vs Michael Chandler
Bo Nickal vs Kyle Daukaus
Diego Lopes vs Steve Garcia

Someone is going home VERY happy and VERY rich.
