Two of the Nolan sisters are fighting cancer together, 7 years after other sisters death

Sad news.

The Nolans are known as 'Ireland's First Family of Music' and have been since their formation in 1974.

They've faired their way through life together, and now Linda and Anne of The Nolan Sisters have announced the terribly sad news that they have both been diagnosed with cancer.

The singers revealed they have been undergoing chemotherapy at Victoria Hospital in Blackpool.

A tweet from The Nolans' account read: "For the past few months during lockdown, Linda and Anne have been battling cancer & chemotherapy together.

"We will get through this together, as a family."

Linda, 61, went on to tell The Sun: "We laughed and we cried really. It's hysterical. Forget the Chemical Brothers, we've become the Chemo Sisters.

"It's just really hard and I'm scared of dying. I don't want to die. I want to be around and see my great nieces and nephews grow up, and that's why I'm putting everything I've got into trying to get well.

"I look in the mirror now and I see Bernie, because I think we're so alike anyway and it just brings back all of her trauma and how sick she was."

Anne, 69, added: "I don't want to die. I love my life so much. I love my daughters, my grandchildren, my friends, all my family.

"I want to live for as long as I possibly can. I am scared of dying as well. Even though I believe in God, I'm still scared."

Anne was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, while Linda has incurable cancer in her liver.
