Four drunken Irishmen have been caught stealing a scissor lift and taking it for a joyride, after having too much fun on a night out.

The group stole it from a quayside in the city centre of Cork, Ireland at 8.30 pm, and took it for a wild spin.

Mind you, this thing is 7.5 tons and 3 metres tall. Shit, the thing can be up to 18 metres when it gets extended. This is some HEAVY machinery.

An eyewitness said, “They were crazy on top of it, shouting and roaring,” and that they even had a passerby “cheering them on”.

They crashed into a concrete block trying to avoid hitting a passenger - probably a sign they shouldn’t have been driving it.

On top of that, two of them were allegedly seen hanging off the back, while the others drove it down the road.

Imagine going home after a night out and seeing that. Just wild scenes.

On their joyride, they reportedly damaged a bridge when they tried to drive over it, and finally, officers stopped the vehicle at a checkpoint.

Two men, 21 and 30, were arrested and detained. It’s unclear whether the two others were there at that point or whether they had already gotten off.

No result has come of it just yet; the investigation is still underway.

The good thing is nobody was injured. Maybe just a slight wound to their dignity…
