TV classics 'Bewitched' and 'The Partridge Family' could be coming back with some major twists

A whole new generation can enjoy these shows just as much as we did!

Two iconic TV shows from the 60s are making their way back to the small screen. It's been announced that 'Bewitched' and 'The Partridge Family' will be given animated updates for a new generation of viewers.

Sony Pictures Television announced both projects are currently in early development.

The original 'Bewitched' sitcom ran for eight seasons from 1964 to 1972.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the animated update will continue the story from the original, following teenage Tabitha Stephens, the daughter of witch Samantha Stephens and ordinary man Darrin Stephens.

Tabitha will navigate her life attending school while secretly enrolled in a magical academy.

Joe D'Ambrosia, executive vp and general manager of SPT - Kids, described the show as "Hannah Montana meets Harry Potter."

'The Partridge Family' animated update will focus on a family from New York who operate a food truck, travelling through the five boroughs to serve up treats and tunes.

The original show, which aired from 1970 to 1974, followed widowed mother Shirley Partridge and her five children as they embarked on a music career together.

Its new animated version aims to bring a fresh take to the concept with a different family dynamic and setting.

Both projects are currently in the early stages of development, and we're eagerly waiting for more details on the two shows. Our fingers and toes are crossed that a whole new generation will be able to enjoy these shows just as much as we did!
