Turning Passion into Business: The Huntress Wines Story

"It's a gamble, right, you're taking a plunge, but why not?" says Rickards.

Jannine Rickards describes herself as a passionate hunter, gardener, and forager, as well as an entrepreneur who started a successful small wine business, Huntress Wines on a whim in 2017.

She further discusses her story into viticulture and what tempted her to take the leap into the wine industry, emphasises the importance of sustainable winemaking and connecting with the land and teases some mouthwatering pairings of local produce with some of her wines.

Rickards also touches on an increase in consumers wanting to support smaller, local businesses that provide fresh, locally sourced produce, something she cares strongly about too, and how that has helped her business's success.
