Born and bred in Ōtorohanga, Waikato, Triggar Happy (Regan Tucker) isn’t your average country rocker - he’s a farmer turned firebrand.
After years running six farms, milking millions, and losing it all, he sold every cow, tractor, and bike to chase what really mattered - the music - and turns out he is damn good at it too! Triggar Happy has today released his single ‘Zombies’ - a track about smashing down the walls that imprison you from being who you really want to be.
Following a rapid rise to success last year where his album ‘Talk Is Cheap’ released in January reigned in at number one the Top 20 Aotearoa Album Charts. Triggar Happy also took out Impact Artist of the year at the 2025 Independent Music Awards. When asked about what he wants to portray through ‘Zombies’ and the deluxe album as a whole, Triggar Happy says “I’ve milked a lot of cows, dragged a lot of sheep, fixed a lot of tractors and seen my friends mindlessly grinding away in the factories. As much as I want the best for me, I want the best for all of the people around me going through life's struggles. That’s what Zombies is about. Wanting the best."
