Taylor Swift got a bit teary during her first-ever appearance on boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast ‘New Heights’, opening up about the whole controversy with her music masters.
While chatting about how her mum and brother went all out to help her reclaim the rights to her early albums, videos, and artwork, Taylor got visibly choked up, with Travis rubbing her back for comfort.
She recalled the moment she finally got the rights to her entire music vault, admitting she’d had intrusive thoughts every day about not owning her masters.
Back in May, when she finally bought them from Shamrock Capital, the emotions hit her hard.
She says she got a call with the good news while she was in the house with Travis.
Taylor explained: “I was weeping, like 'Really? Really, what do you mean?' I was like, 'Get your shit together, just go tell Travis in a normal way.'”
“I knock on the door, he's playing video games, and I try to say it in a normal way. I just start absolutely heaving, crying, dropped, had no power in my legs to support myself.”
“Yeah, this changed my life. I can't believe it still, every time I think about it, it's like I have to tell the short version to everyone.”

Travis said he also got emotional. "I started crying too, you know I'm a crier," he said, while Taylor added: "You were weeping."

Swifties will know Taylor spent years fighting to reclaim her original masters - first sold to Scooter Braun in 2019, then later to Shamrock Capital.
On the podcast, she also gave a massive shoutout to her fans for supporting her re-recorded music and helping her take back control.

Taylor’s appearance also included revealing the release date and album artwork for her upcoming album 'The Life of a Showgirl', and she explained how the podcast is actually the reason for her and Travis’ love story.
