The Tongan Rugby League team have been expelled from international competitions, according to ESPN.
The team has one week to appeal its expulsion after the International Rugby League board voted to cancel its membership.
After months of dispute between players, coaches and board memebers in regards to finances and resources, the IRL has confirmed it voted to expel the TNRL.
"The TNRL has been suspended since October last year, with Tongan players forming an 'invitational XIII' for the World Cup Nines and end of seasons Tests against Australia and Great Britain after threatening to boycott the events."
More to come.
