Toddler catches Metallica’s attention in viral video of him listening to ‘Fuel’

A viral clip is doing the rounds of a legendary little lad who clearly knows his riffs from his lullabies - and it’s even caught the attention of Metallica themselves.

In a now-viral video posted by his mum, the young lad is strapped into his car seat, nodding politely to Olivia Dean. Then the song switches to Metallica’s Fuel, and it’s like someone hit a power chord in his soul. His eyes go wide, his feet kick, and his little hands wave like he’s conducting an invisible mosh pit.

The mum captioned the clip: “I don’t know why I bother to try and listen to my music at this point.” Judging by the 3 million views on Instagram alone, plenty of people reckon she should just hand over the aux cord.

Even Metallica themselves got in on the action, commenting: “YEAH!!! 🔥”

Fans are already calling for him to take up drums and recommending noise-cancelling headphones for mum. Others are declaring him a ‘reincarnated rock star’, with one fan reminiscing, “Raising him right! My son was exactly the same 18 years ago… he can shred almost every song on the guitar.”

It’s not a one-off moment either. Clips of him grooving to She Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd, Fuel, and Enter Sandman show he’s got a clear taste in music. Non-rock tracks? He shakes his head as if to say “wtf is this mum?”
