Every so often we let you guys jump on the auxiliary with the 'People's Hotset', and today you delivered. We don't quite know what was delivered, but it's one we'll be telling the grandkids about.
If you didn't catch it this morning, you need to listen to it now. If you did catch it, you know you want to listen to it again.
It started with the national anthem, leading to a single patriotic tear gracefully sliding down my face before landing at my feet. I looked at that teardrop for what felt like years, finally, I raised my chin and began seizing the day, Kiwi blood pulsating through my veins.
Those red and white blood cells soon began moving and grooving as none other than Dane Rumble graced the airwaves. Rumble's 'Cruel' washed over me and I swear I heard a whisper in between the gorgeous beat. A soft, hushed voice, completely void of any doubt, told me, 'everything's going to be alright kiddo'.
Later on in the hotset two of the most ambitious, complex, and revered songs of all time were mixed. General Lee, a master of his craft, did it seamlessly, making it sound as if music was invented for this very moment.
Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' faded out as Fisher's 'Losing It' began playing. Instant orgasm.
Speaking of, all-time tunes would not stop coming: 'September' by Earth, Wind and Fire. 'Wake Me Up' by Avicii. 'MY BOO' by Ghost Town DJs. 'Better Off Alone' by Alice Deejay. 'Working Class Man' by Jimmy Barnes.
Listen to the full fifty-two-minute patriotic, rambunctious, near-religious mix above. Be warned the second half is high-paced and heavy and will hit you like Mike Tyson's right hook.
If you wanna get some tunes in the queue next 'People's Hotset', stay tuned to George FM. We're still recovering from this morning's one, so we don't quite know when the next edition will be.
