Actor Tiger Shroff narrowly escaped injury on Sunday evening after three men on a motorcycle opened fire near his vehicle in Mumbai’s Juhu area. The incident took place as the actor was leaving a local football ground. While Shroff emerged unharmed, his driver sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to Nanavati Hospital for treatment.

The Breakfast Show with Vijay and Pooja

Following the attack, an audio recording circulated online featuring a man who identified himself as Anil Pandit, claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.In the recording, Pandit took responsibility for the firing and issued a stark warning to the Hindi film industry.

"Anyone in the film industry who works separately from us, or works with Salman Khan, we will kill him," the man warned in the audio note. "And this is the first and last warning. This Salman Khan is Dawood's (Ibrahim) dog, and we have kept a dog named Dawood at home. We had called him and explained it to him but he did not understand, so today we explained it to him properly."

Targeted Over Collaboration

According to the recording, Tiger Shroff was targeted specifically for ignoring the gang’s directives and continuing to collaborate with Salman Khan.

The Breakfast Show with Vijay and Pooja looked back the feud between Khan and Bishnoi, which stems from the 1998 blackbuck hunting case, an incident that offended the Bishnoi community. In a 2023 assessment, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) noted that Khan topped the gang's hit list.

The Bishnoi gang previously issued direct threats against Khan's family, stating, "We will not spare anyone in your family, not even your pet dogs," unless the actor offers a formal apology.

Police Launch Investigation

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner following the incident to review security details. The Commissioner has been directed to expedite the investigation and take strict measures against those involved.

Law enforcement authorities have formed dedicated teams to trace the motorcycle-borne attackers and verify the authenticity of the audio recording. The investigation into the motive and exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remains ongoing.
