Theia gets the girls on a roll with her 'Bad Idea' music video

Sometimes you need to dust yourself off and jump up again.

Theia is back with a brand new music video for her latest single, 'Bad Idea'.

'Bad Idea' is an honest and raw song about self-harm, and while it is a hard-hitting topic, Theia wants her song to bring strength and hope.

Theia wrote the song when contemplating her own ups and downs, and reflecting on the times fans have contacted her to say how much her music has helped them.

"It has meant so much hearing from people saying that a particular song of mine has provided comfort and support. I understand where they're coming from, because for me music is such an important and healing part of my life."

"'Bad Idea' is my way of acknowledging that, and saying 'It's ok, together we can get through this! You don't have to fight on your own'."

Her vision for the video was to use the three roller-derby skaters as a metaphor for life.

"Sometimes life gets you down and you have hard times. You fall over. Sometimes you dust yourself off and jump up again; other times you need a helping hand," she explained to Canvas.

"The video completely embodies the message of the song. I love the camaraderie of the skaters; it's so uplifting and perfect that it's shot on such a sunny Californian day,"
