Imagine going about your workday when one of music’s biggest stars walks in and hands you concert tickets.

That was the reality for an Auckland fan on Saturday. Isabella Taouma was working when British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean strolled through the doors and greeted her and her co-workers.

In a video posted to her TikTok account, @isabella.taouma, she detailed how she served Dean as she came to purchase something.

As she and her coworkers were understandably freaking out, they agreed not to approach her unless she bought something, as they didn't want to disturb her peace.

When Olivia came up to make a purchase, wearing a hoodie and glasses, Taouma couldn't help but tell the singer how much she loved her music.

"We just talked about her day and her time in New Zealand, and she said she loves it here."

When asked if she was excited for her show that night, Taouma mentioned that while her coworker was going, she couldn't get tickets due to the overwhelming demand.

"I told her, 'Meeting you right now literally makes up for all of that.'"

At that moment, Dean turned to her agent, whispered something, and turned back to ask Taouma if she wanted to come to the show.

Unreal.

Taouma described it as "the best interaction of my life."

She ended her video with a quick reminder that the lesson isn't to bug celebrities for free tickets. They respected Dean's privacy, and she offered out of pure generosity.

How insane is that? Talk about an unforgettable shift at work...
