New Zealand pop sensation, Cassie Henderson, has wrapped up her time on ‘The Voice AU’, but not without a top-tier final performance.
During last night’s grand final, Cassie pulled out all the stops against three of her fellow competitors - all female, might I add... YTG!
Her solo performance was something out of a 90’s prom movie, and our Kiwi gal performed with a friggen SPICE GIRL - her coach Melanie C.
She gave an electric performance of the Wheatus track ‘Teenage Dirtbag’, with the smoothest transition of a guitar we might’ve ever seen, while locking eyes with the camera.
I you didn’t know it already, Cassie's stage presence is incredibly captivating and charismatic.
Her coach, Mel C, backed her writing on Instagram, “Wow wow wow! The winner, surely 🔥🔥🔥”, before they took the stage together for a duet of 'Bittersweet Symphony' by The Verve.
The ladies took it to another level with a more pop synth rendition, AND can we please talk about their harmonies? Phe-nom-in-al!
While Cassie didn’t take out the whole competition, she has gained thousands of new fans across the Tasman, and a number one supporter in Mel.
“You are an incredible talent. This is just the beginning. I am so excited to see what’s to come,” Mel wrote on Instagram after the show.
“[I’m] so proud of you.”
Plenty of people are right there with her, with one of Cassie’s fans writing: “Cassie is meant for the stage. I mean, when she performs, she is all in. Full of energy, charisma, conviction, and heart.”
Another agreed: “You absolutely light up the stage and your voice is sensational!!! This show has been your debut… and the best is yet to come!!!”
“This girl has what it takes 10000% ,” said a third.
You’re a winner in our eyes, Cassie. Now go and smash everything that’s ahead of you!
