We’re stoked to announce that The Rock 2000 Live event line-up has just gotten even bigger.
Aussie rockers Grinspoon and legendary kiwi rock band Tadpole are all set to join Blindspott and The Philharmonic Orchestra at Auckland’s Spark Arena this September.
“Personally, I love New Zealand so much and we haven't gotten back there as much as we would've liked, so when this opportunity came up, I was like to the rest of the band, 'dudes we gotta do this,” Grinspoon front man Phil Jamieson told The Morning Rumble this morning.
“New Zealand audiences have always treated us with love… It's such an honor to be asked to be a part of your party,” he continued. “We get the opportunity across the ditch to play with Blindspott and Tadpole at Spark Arena... I'm so excited about it.”
Meanwhile, New Zealand’s very own Tadpole are set to bring their charismatic live presence to Spark Arena. After disbanding in 2006 and getting back together in March last year, they’ve already returned to the stage for select performances, with the introduction of powerhouse vocalist Lauren Marshall.
How good?

We couldn’t be more amped to already have Blindspott alongside a 30-piece Philharmonic Orchestra on the bill - they’re all set to perform their debut, self-titled album in full on the night.
And before all of that, The Rock Drive’s Jay and Dunc will be taking you through the Top 20 Live Ceremony as per. Not to mention all of the free shit you’ll have the chance to win outside the arena!
It’s all going down Friday, September 26th at Auckland’s Spark Arena. With 75% of tickets already sold, you’ll wanna get in quick. Grab your general tickets here.
