Jason Momoa has switched up his iconic look after shaving his long, luscious locks, but it wasn't all for nothing.
The 43-year-old 'Aquaman' star posted to Instagram showing a close-up selfie video of him in the middle of a haircut. Immediately, you can notice the lack of locks on the sides of his head.
He greets his 17 million followers with an "Aloha everyone" before asking someone to "hand me those braids", then showing off two of his cut-off braids to the camera.
He continued to share that he shaved his hair to help save the planet by drawing attention to the amount of rubbish in our oceans and on our lands.
"I'm tired of these plastic bottles, we gotta stop. Plastic forks, all that s**t. S**t goes into our land, goes into our ocean," he said.
The actor explained more detail in the caption, encouraging people to spread love to planet Earth.
"Here's to new beginnings. Let's spread the aloha, be better at protecting our land and oceans."
Momoa hasn't shared a photo of the new buzzcut - he might be a bit nervous - but we're sure once he does, there will be an increase in men with shaved heads around the world.
Shoutout to Jason Momoa for having the big kahunas to make the chop happen, but even more so for championing a great, important cause.
