Taylor Swift wins Best Video at the 2026 MTV VMAs

Taylor Swift has won the coveted Video of the Year for The Fate of Ophelia at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.

Host Snoop Dogg presented the trophy to Swift, marking her sixth time winning the accolade.

"I want to thank and dedicate this award to one person, without whom this wouldn't be happening, and that person is the ultimate showgirl, Dolly Parton," she gushed in her acceptance speech.

"Every single song that she wrote, her storytelling was so vivid and so rich. Listening to her songs, it's like watching the best music video you have ever seen in your life every single time you hear what she has written."

Madonna took out the prize for Artist of the Year, beating out the likes of Swift, Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars.

"Find yourself and believe in yourself," she told the crowd as she held her Moonman. The singer has won a total of 19 VMAs in her career to date.

Newcomer Sienna Spiro scooped Best New Artist and also delivered a live performance of her song Great Expectation at the event.

Other performers on the night included Sombr, Raye and Teddy Swims, who paid tribute to George Michael 10 years after his death; while Kacey Musgraves sang the late Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You.
