Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding setup underway in New York

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's wedding setup is officially underway.

Preparations for a garden party event have begun at Madison Square Garden (MSG) in New York City, People magazine reports.

The famous couple are set to tie the knot this Friday, according to multiple reports, with Swift's private plane already landing in New York on Tuesday, as revealed by Page Six.

The New York Times reported that Swift has rented the arena for a multi-day event, and a City Hall representative later confirmed that a permit had been filed with the City Street Activity Office to close off the area around MSG.

On Monday, trucks were spotted outside the venue with workers unloading equipment, grass and other decorations. A few black boxes were seen, including one that was labelled "Garden Party". Another box was marked "Mirror Ball". Staffers were seen loading up forklifts and transporting boxes into the venue for more than two hours, late into the night.

On Tuesday, workers were seen putting down a red carpet, as evinced in a video posted by Deuxmoi. The carpet was later removed, according to Page Six.

To add to the speculation, fans have pointed to an unusual gap in the MSG schedule. The venue has no public events booked between 29 June and 6 July, historically one of the busiest times of year for major touring acts. Bon Jovi is currently scheduled to perform there on 7 July.
